Last words

For many years I felt robbed of the insight of a man of great creativity, and a life lived with purpose.

That's not the way he left this world. He wasn't prepared. He didn't have time to rehearse an insightful message about life and death.

I have been angry with him for decades about that.

Ogden Nash prepared his final words before passing. He appreciated the joy shared in humor.

He lay in a hospital bed.

"Either that wallpaper goes or I do."

Then he died.

Generally the passing between life and death is a brief realization.

"I'm shot"

I'm not angry at John Lennon anymore.

I finally came to the realization the realization that life is over quickly, without meds.

It's been repeated for many years by many men and women.

"I'm shot."

That's all.
