Can one day fit a lifetime?

How on earth could a single day fit into a lifetime?

Can a day fit a lifetime?

Well, one could certainly try.

I think it would be difficult,

With just how quickly time likes to pass by.


If a day could fit into a life time,

I’d have enough money to break the bank.

There’d be sweets and treats and food so wonderful your tastebuds’ would sing,

And there’d be plenty to share


Gifts would overflow the closets of family and friends,

A reminder of a person now gone.

The sweet ring of a bell would chime,

And just like Cinderella, she runs after dawn.


Nobody would go hungry,

Nobody would have a care,

Nobody would try and listen,

To someone who wasn’t there.


But despite the hurt to come,

And pain with it too,

I would run to a place so free,

A place where the sky was clear and the wind often blew


In this place there would be no pain,

And people would understand,

Even during the rain


So to answer the question,

If a lifetime could fit in a day:

I think that it could,

If I had enough money to break the bank.
