A poem about how sight may be our least valuable sense

Your eyes are said to be.
The only thing you can trust.
I say, that is not so.

Is he really a monster?
Or can your eyes not see.
His humanity inside.

Is she truly a cheater?
Or did your eyes not see.
That he was kissing her.

Do they actually need your help?
Or will you eyes not see.
They are more capable than you believe.

My experience tells me.
That though your eyes help you to see.
They can blind you to what is true.
