a vivid, emotional poem about a night drive with your music cranked:

Midnight highway humming low,
windows down, letting the cool wind blow.
My playlist hits that perfect stride,
and suddenly the world feels lighter inside.

Streetlights blur like falling stars,
shadow-dancing across the hood of my car.
Bass thumping steady like a borrowed heart,
every song pulling me back to where I start.

The road’s a ribbon, dark and wide,
stretching out like it wants to confide.
And with the volume cranked so high,
I drown out every thought I meant to hide.

In this moment, it’s just me and the night—
no past to chase, no pain to fight.
Only lyrics lifting the weight I bear,
and the freedom of not caring who’s there.

So I drive until the sky turns grey,
letting the music lead the way.
Because some nights, all a woman needs
is a full tank, loud songs,
and the kind of quiet only the road can read.
