the kind of alone that feels like peace, not emptiness

Content in the Quiet

I walk my path in quiet grace,
No shadows here I cannot face.
The world grows soft, the noise grows thin,
And I find comfort in my skin.

Alone, but not a hollow sound—
Just gentle stillness all around.
No heavy ache, no reaching hand,
Just me, and room to understand.

The peace I thought I’d never find
Now settles easy on my mind.
I breathe it in like morning air,
A life that’s mine, untouched, aware.

Some nights I sit beneath the stars,
Not wishing for what isn’t ours.
Contentment hums inside my chest—
A quiet place, a needed rest.

I’m not without; I’m simply free—
A soft, unhurried harmony.
Alone, but in the sweetest way…
Enough for me, in every day.
