Religious holidays bring out
the giving spirit in all of us,
as food banks and warming shelters sprout
in neighborhoods where shelves are bare.
Concerned citizens form the nucleus
to attack disastrous affair.

Community togetherness
is necessary to complete
fight against the scourge of loneliness,
determined to provide relief
through the gift of culinary treat
with a much happier motif.

Religious holidays bring out
