That final night

Stay a little longer,
Don’t turn away just yet.
The air still holds our laughter,
The room still knows our steps.

Sit with me in the quiet,
Where words don’t need to speak.
Where your hand once found mine,
And my heart forgot to beat.

I’m not asking for forever,
Not asking you to change,
Just stay a moment longer,
Before everything rearranges.
