Subtle Tease

Masquerade

By ~ Reagana

I will see this through, my charade,

Masked and cloaked, hidden well.

As I dance away this masquerade,

Before the ring of Midnight’s bell.

Graceful moves of subtle tease,

A twirl, a twist, a finger brush.

Float away on frigid breeze,

With racing heart and rosy flush.

Secure within my secret world,

I play the role I would not dare,

Were my identity unfurled,

From beneath this mask that I wear.
