What was the human thinking

Never Cross a Dragon
by: Reagana

The dragon rumbled with displeasure
Missing pieces from her treasure

Uninvited, someone came
Seeking fortune and fame

Muddy footprints left behind
As though he did not mind

The mess to her abode
Nor the stealing of her gold

What was the human thinking
To leave behind a stinking

Odor in his wake
This, the dragon could not take

Airing out her den
The dragon cursed all men

She vowed to seek redress
From her uninvited guest

She would char him to his bones
Then block her cave with stones

Lest one more wayward soul
Smelling like a troll

Find cause to wander in
And begin this tale again
