| I’m not sure why I like you And I’ve done this before A hundred different people And a couple more I’m not sure why I like you Perhaps it’s in your smile Or maybe the things Hidden in the miles Every mile that runs Between you and I Every mile that hides The things you can’t quite call lies The things you don’t tell me Even if you wanted to It’s the things that you don’t tell me That I wish I never knew I overanalyze and pay too much attention to The things no one says The things they never knew Like the way their eyes go soft And their breathing slows Whenever they hold onto things they’re used to letting go The way your mind may run When you hear the songs I sing Or maybe why you’re gone Every time your phone *ding* |
