A piece about yearning or something.

Your eyes ignite a fire in my chest
That sparks and flames
And swallows and stays
As long as you’re around.

It says, “consume me,
Because my being will fester and burn
And blister and boil
Every second it’s not one with yours.”

You alone are the salve
On a burn that will destroy me
If not mended to.

So mend to me,
Ease my suffering,
Relieve my pain.

And kiss me
Until the flames go out
And I sink into your security.

Kiss me
Until the fire
Melts me into your chill solidity.

Kiss me.
