In my heart lies despair, so why do I hope?

Heavy weighs my heart filled with tragedy.
A torrent of sorrow,
Cast down by clouds of doubt.
A wildfire of rage,
Lit ablaze by the embers of betrayal.
I close my eyes in fear of seeing no hope.
Yet my heart awaits the day it becomes lighter.
