This is chapter 3 of my story EKYUMSIN, please read ch 1 and 2 before reading this.

Author’s Note
This story follows a dialogue-driven, script-style narrative by design. Instead of long atmospheric paragraphs, the focus is on events, action, power systems, and character decisions, similar to manga or light-novel pacing.
This format helps keep fights sharp, plot progression clear, and moments impactful without unnecessary length.
Thank you for reading and engaging with the story.

Chapter 3 - Even in Afterlife

Narrator –
The day after the murder of the former ruler of the Shingeki continent, a committee of fifteen countries was established to vote for the next king of Shingeki. Each country sent its representative to contest the throne. Kazui was also present in the senate—as a voter.

Committee Host –
“A total of fifteen representatives are present in this senate to be chosen as the next king of Shingeki. There are one thousand voters in this house who have thoroughly studied the representatives and how they intend to rule. These voters include scholars, warriors, kings, princes—individuals wise enough to collectively choose the most suitable ruler. I now announce the beginning of the voting process.”

It was a disturbing irony that the murderer of Fukuyama—the traitor—was himself one of the voters. Yet, being the vice prince of Shingeki, Kazui still held legitimacy within the senate.
The atmosphere inside the senate was dense and grave. Everyone remained seated. At the center stood the host, with the fifteen representatives positioned behind him.

Kazui –
“Being civilized, and the current vice prince of Shingeki, I do not belong to any of the fifteen countries under Shingeki. Technically, I am not eligible to be elected. But I killed Fukuyama to become king, so isn—”

Host –
“Mr. Kazui, our honourable vice prince of Shingeki, we are already aware of this. Unfortunately, you cannot be king. The elected ruler will most likely banish you from this world. It would be wiser for you to cast your vote for one of the fifteen candidates.”
Kazui left his seat and stepped into the center of the senate.

Kazui –
“Being uncivilized, and the vice prince of Shingeki, in front of all the lords of the senate and the fifteen representatives, I alone reject this voting system and this senate. I declare myself the ruler of Shingeki. If you wish to call it dictatorship—you may.”

Host –
“Mind your language, Kazui. There are several elders present here. By doing this, you are challenging all of Shingeki. You will be expelled from the senate.”

Kazui –
“I tried the civilized way. This is the first and last warning. Either choose me as king willingly, or I will use force.”

Host –
“As you wish. I doubt anyone will object to the elimination of a single voter—a vice prince and a traitor. Let the senate be stained with blood for once in history.”

The host exited the hall. The doors and windows were locked from outside. Most of the elders retreated to the rear, while commanders, kings, princes, and high-ranking warriors from the fifteen countries began stepping toward Kazui.

It was a rare sight—the strongest living figures of every nation united against a single enemy.

Kazui (inner thoughts) –
I cannot commit a crime that destroys Shingeki itself. If all of them die here, the continent will collapse and every nation will fall into chaos.

His eyes briefly shifted toward the elders.
Swords were drawn. Movements quickened. Some prepared to strike from above, aiming to cleave him in half. Kazui had made his decision.

Kazui –
“Listen to me. I possess the Ekyum KYOTIN—alone, it is enough to defeat all of you. The weapon that killed Fukuyama is wielded by me. If you continue, your deaths will be your own responsibility.”

A pause followed.
Confusion spread. Myths of Kyotin clashed with fear and doubt. Kazui recognized this hesitation as a fragment of victory—but—

One Representative –
“Even if you possess Tengen—whose effects remain even in the afterlife and across six realms of samsara—and Kyotin together, we will not spare you for killing Fukuyama and defiling the spirit of this senate. Let us restore the brightest sun of Shingeki by extinguishing this ray of darkness!”

Blades struck.
Hundreds of swords pierced Kazui from head to toe—some descending from above with enough force to split his body in two. Yet, despite the overwhelming power, the blades penetrated only a few millimeters into his flesh.

Kazui (clutched by hundreds of blades) –
“If there is no sun… then I will be the one .”

A burst of white flame erupted from his body.
The shockwave threw everyone away. White flame markings spread across his arms, flowing like living fire through engraved paths. His body was engulfed—not by heat, but by a flame that melted flesh itself.
The senate hall turned blindingly bright.
Bodies melted. Cries echoed. Some fell dead instantly. The elders watched in terror, begging for their lives. Kazui stood unmoving, gazing at them.

Kazui (covered in flames) –
“You elders are spared—for you did not raise your swords. This is not even the full extent of Kyotin. At its peak, it can tear through hell itself. I do not need your inferior votes. Rule your countries as you wish. I am the brightest sun Shingeki will ever know.”

The flames faded.
Kazui took his seat upon the vacant throne.

Narrator –
The rise of absolute dictatorship over Shingeki sent shockwaves across the world. The elders spread word of what they had witnessed—something unreal, something impossible.
Pravan stared at the newspaper in disbelief.
“KYOTIN IS NO LONGER A MYTH.”
He tore the paper apart in rage.
