Those who have grown apart and reunite.

Faces do not know each other anymore.
Minds listen to others to fill in the gaps they have lost.
They run face-first into love, and it rejects them.

A strong embrace once warm is now cold.
A lazy hand-in-hand walk is now history.
A whisper in a loving ear goes unheard.

The look of desire in her eye is now vacant.
A tickle in search of a laugh gets a rebuke.
Anger replaces love, which becomes distant.

Separation grows between the two faces.
All is at arm's length.
The rift creates a cold, black void.

Walking with a hard intensity. Thinking, thinking, and walking.
A vast, unending ocean of regret fills the soul.
Tears well up and trickle down the face.

Suddenly, a thought.
A smile cracks the downcast face.
A strong hand wipes the tears away.

Faces meet again.
Smiles of regret from each ignite tears of fire.
A long-lost embrace, a hard kiss, a whimper of a cry.

Together once again.
Never to part, never to close a door.
It's a life again, a life with love.
