Wake up!

I dreamed
sirens screamed,
and light,
         blood-red
         of a thousand soylent-fed
         neighbors and strangers,
crept
         in.

I awoke
to flames and smoke,
and light,
         white-hot
         'gainst the cruel despot,
         un-lied, revealed that I
slept
         on.
