Out of the ashes...

Fire fumed
with brilliant flames of molten anger
devouring Life -
vapors licking lush, verdant valleys;
leaves and branches turned dry, then brittle,
then c r u m b l e d into floating motes of ash.

Water wept
from deep within his cloud of thunder
raining Life -
hydration quickly quenching heated hills;
leaves and stems curled out from seedlings,
then b l o s s o m e d into thriving woods anew.
