Review 3 members Portfolios for Task #3. |
| These are my three reviews of member Portfolios for task #3 of "26 Paychecks " Number 1: Hi JACE Portfolio Tab You have a very welcoming header that makes me want to explore more. Considering you are a purple case I could learn a lot here. Your header has words of wisdom done in a fun and poetic way. You seem to have a handle on its organization. I would say it would be easy to use as a visitor. Reviews Tab Your Review Requests is OFF. I love that you have detailed out your reviewing style and listed what you enjoy reviewing and the types of work you prefer as well as the genres. You also admit what you are good at - punctuation. I will have to check to see if I have filled out this section in my own Review tab section. I think you have done an amazing job 'selling' yourself as a reviewer. Biography Tab This tab is always fun. I tend to check this to see how young or experienced a writer may be before giving a review. Yours gives a well rounded glimpse at who you are and the kind of feedback I think you could handle. I also enjoy when favourite genres, music interests and movies. the favourite quote is a great touch. Although many of your interests are outside of my own, I can appreciate them. I really like that quote . It resonates. Notebook Tab I checked out The Port In a Storm and had to giggle. This task has me thinking I need to overhaul my Portfolio. I have no Books left with my Premium account and since I don't want to pay more than I already am, I need to start trimming some of the items to make way for new stuff. but it is so hard... and it could take a lot of time that I don't really want to devote to doing. AGH! I peaked at the New Month entry as well. Congratulations on those accomplishments, by the way. I like this kind of self reflection. Looking back, celebrating the wins and gazing forward to see the possibilities. It keeps you humble, but also reminds you that you are 'crushing' it! We all need to see that kind of thing. And dang it, you reminded me that I didn't do a 'Dear Me' for this year... well, I may still do it for my own benefit. Blog Tab You intro is welcoming and informative in a conversational sort of way. I do hope you are enjoying retirement and are feeling good these days. The blogs I read were fun to read and relate to. Thank you for that. Community Tab You are a very active member of the WDC community and have a lot of reviews done - well over 2000! Lots of merit badges. It was fun to peak at all the recognitions you have achieved. Well done. I peeked at the Fans and Sliders Tabs as well. Wow on the Fans tab and I didn't realize we could play in the Sliders area! I will have to visit there very soon. Your 26 Paychecks Playbook is inspiring and I am using it to help me craft my own emails and reviews. This task seemed a bit daunting until I check out how others were tackling the task. Thanks for reliving my nerves concerning this aspect of the task. Overall, I would have to say your Portfolio sings. Enjoy 2026. I am sure I will be back to see what more you have brought to light. Number 2: Hi THANKFUL SONALI Get Well Ken Portfolio Tab Now this is interesting. You don't have your stuff organized in folders. Everything is visible and you get to scroll along to find something. I do mine in folders of each year, but sometimes that is a pain finding something if I can't remember what year I wrote it! Your highlighted items are wins are proud of and I think that is an excellent way to present yourself. Your best foot forward, so to speak. I can tell you are a Harry Potter fan just from your picture in the Header. I love that. You give a little bit about what you do beyond this writing world and then highlight three other writers.... not sure why, exactly. Are you mentoring them or just proud of them? You are a Blue Case. I am trying to review portfolios of people who don't get a lot of reviews and people who have things I can learn from. Being a teacher myself, I find I learn as much from others as I am able to impart to them. Learning and growth are important to me. Reviews Tab Your Review Requests are ON. You also only point out what you are not interested in reviewing. This is important as it sets in place boundaries that are important to you - no horror, violence or excessive cursing. I can relate. Biography Tab You keep this area short and sweet. Enough information is provided to get some impression of you and you use your highlighted spots to showcase what is important to you. Well done. Notebook Tab I commented on your Dad's birthday post. You said it is his birthday and then said he would be 91. I took that to mean he has passed. I hope I didn't do a faux-pa! Our family acknowledges a person's birthday whether they are alive or passed. It is way to 'celebrate' the wonderful person they were. You seem to use your Notebook tab for all the important things in life. Thank you again for passing on the information about huntersmoon. He is a favourite of mine and I do hope he is doing okay. Blog Tab The intro was very interesting. Some things are from past events, but I clicked on the link for Daily Poem and got excited! This is something I would love to participate in. Thanks for the link! Community Tab Wow. You are a very active reviewer! Lots of merit badges including Achievement badges for streaks - for visits, forums, newsfeed and reviews. That is impressive. Lots of Fans as well. Overall, your portfolio is very impressive. Number 3 Hi Jayne Portfolio Tab You have chosen to do a Start Here Folder which contains highlights of the most current nature. Not sure if this is a new thing you decided to do or if this is something that you have been doing for a while. Either way, I think it's brilliant. It gets to the heart of what you want visitors to go to and I give your high praise for that. You list your writing, but also various activities you participate in or run. I have found myself often joining many of the contests you've been running. In fact the daily poem was pointed out to me on the last Portfolio review I did - in THANKFUL SONALI Get Well Ken I may just have to take some tips from this a clean up my Guestbook. Make it current, for a start. I can't remember the last time I tripped in there. This task has made me realize I need to take some time to at least make my portfolio appealing to someone just popping in to see who is this person. Kudos. Reviews Tab Your Review Requests are OFF. You have a great list of your reviewing style. You are very direct in your approach and I appreciate that. This helps others know what kinds of stuff you enjoy and what perspective you are coming from. Biography Tab I absolutely love your quote about no ducks, no row, just squirrels at a rave! You are a fellow Canadian, I see. Whoot Whoot! I am in Kitchener, Ontario. I enjoyed reading this as you personality flows through the things you share. Notebook Tab Your notebook was entertaining and I even checked out a poem.... and added an emoji. Lots of announcements and a funny poke at Charles Nasby Blog Tab Bite Marks and Bedtimes Stories says it all and I LOVE the Blog Intro. So funny and authentic. The more I read, the more I like. Keep being you! Community Tab This tab is impressive. One of the links I found was for TL;DR - not sure what it stands for, but I was intrigued. I will have to put this up on my list with The Bradbury - 52 short stories in 52 weeks. Overall, I was impressed and proud to know a fellow Canadian is kicking ass and writing great poetry. I look forward to the Daily Poem and Promptmaster! Keep up the great work here at WDC. |
