Poem as if written by our first cat

Hello my friend, come and sit by me,
Better still let me climb upon your knee,
My fur is soft, it will keep you cosy,
And I will soon be feeling dozy,
Stroke me, tickle me,
Caress me, love me,
I feel so safe here on your lap,
No better place to take a nap.
We’ve lived together all these years,
And you have helped me through my fears,
But now my days are coming to an end,
Thank you for being my faithful friend.
