A shadow and light poem

The Snapdragon
Silvern

A sudden opening of the summer garden,
A bright row of teeth extends green velvet.

Snapdragon stands tall.
A little dragon's mouth waits for a gentle compress.
To make it wide open.

Colours riot yellows, like split in sunshine.
A bit of pinkish blush, against the blue.
A silence, vibrant talk.

They nod in the breeze.
The crowd nodded their heads,
Sharing a secret with the bees
Who dives deep into the throat.

Not fire, not fury,
Just colours held upright.
A playful, sturdy bloom- a simple summer joy.
