a poem that holds both the love you miss and the clarity you’ve found |
| Echoes of Love and Light I miss your laughter, your silliness, the way you wanted me like the world depended on it. I miss the sparkle of your smile and the quiet warmth of your hands. I remember thinking that was all love I’d ever need. But love isn’t supposed to make me wonder, to leave me questioning if I’m truly seen, truly cherished. It’s not meant to hide behind words that shimmer and actions that vanish. So I hold the memory of you softly, like a photograph in my chest, grateful for what I felt, grieving what never truly was. And still, I whisper to myself: I deserve a love that listens, that shows up, that chooses me every single day. The kind of love that finally feels like home— and I will wait for it, because my heart knows it is out there. |
