Task 4 of 26 paychecks |
| I don't enjoy writing stories about LGBTQ topics or erotica. This is a personal choice based on my beliefs as a Muslim. In my faith, we are taught to keep private matters private. The relationship between husband and wife is sacred and special. It is not something to share with the world. What happens in the bedroom belongs only to the two people involved. Writing about such details would feel wrong to me, like breaking a trust. For me, a person's sexual orientation is also a private matter. It is part of who they are, yes, but the deep personal aspects of it are not for public display. This does not mean I judge people who write in these genres. Everyone has their own path and their own voice. I simply know my own boundaries. I write best when I stay true to my values and comfort zone. There is so much more to human life and relationships. I prefer to write about things like kindness, justice, family, faith, and the daily struggles people face. Love can be shown in a thousand ways without describing physical intimacy. A caring gesture, a kind word, standing by someone in hard times, sharing a meal together - these things also show deep connection. The bond between souls does not need bedroom scenes to feel real and powerful. The stories I want to tell are about the human spirit. They are about our journey through life, our mistakes and growth, our relationships with family and community, and our search for meaning. These topics give me plenty of room to create rich and meaningful stories. For me, some doors are meant to stay closed. That privacy is something I value deeply. By respecting these boundaries, I find peace as a writer and stay true to who I am. |
