A man's therapy takes an unexpected turn

His mind was a blank slate. It was a strange feeling. Jonas sat in the chair, and he could hear the hypnotist speaking to him, but the words didn't mean anything. It wasn't like they were gibberish; the words made sense as he heard them. They just didn't stick. He was in a gentle white fog. Then, suddenly, two words penetrated the comfortable fog: "Lunar Eclipse." He opened his eyes and sat back with a contented sigh. He felt relieved, somehow, reinvigorated, at peace.

"Well? How do you feel?"

"I feel... good. You know, compared to when I came in. Know what I mean?" His voice was vague.

The therapist smiled. "I understand very well, Jonas." She smiled. "This is how my own therapy moved forward after I had hit a plateau, when I was going for my Master's. I was wound so tight I could no longer think. Sounds like how you said it was going with your job, doesn't it?"

Jonas nodded, glancing absently around the room as if he was seeing everything for the first time.

"Jonas?"

"Hmmm..." he answered dreamily.

The therapist frowned. "Jonas, have you ever seen a Lunar Eclipse?"

Jonas smiled at her. "I had a telescope when I was little. Did you ever have a telescope, Miss?"

She frowned deeper. Jonas was not completely out of his hypnosis. "Lunar Eclipse!"

Jonas stood and wandered around the office. "I feel
great!" He turned and looked at the therapist. "Would you like to go for a walk, Miss? Its such a beautiful day. We should find a little park..." He opened the door and wandered out, and nothing she said could stop him.

It felt like his mind was a blank slate still; and Jonas felt that development was the perfect peaceful way to live.
