No Restrictions I like to believe I’m an independent voter (REGISTERED since 1972) who tries to educate myself on candidates’ principles and objectives and support those who are most closely aligned with mine. Historically, I align a bit more to the right than the left. HOWEVER, given the Democrats' demeanor during President Trump's most recent State of the Union, my alignment has shifted to the RIGHT! I totally get the political games we THINK are necessary to participate in to garner support, don’t endorse them, but I get it. Democrats NOT standing or applauding to some of our President’s rhetoric is embraceable, I wasn’t warmed by all of his rhetoric either. BUT to remain seated when the President asked members of Congress to stand if they agree with his statement that the first duty of the U.S. government is to protect American citizens, not those in the country illegally, was deplorable and to quote our President, “...You should be ashamed of yourself, not standing up…”. I predict the “sitting on their asses” will yield a negative return at the polls. I, for one, will ALWAYS stand for America and never “take a knee OR an ass”!
