Daniel meets a leprechaun. 300word flash

Reality is a State of Mind
“This isn’t real,” Daniel muttered.
“It is, me boyo, it is!” said the little man in green as he danced in front of him with an excess of glee.
“I don’t believe in you, so get gone!”
The little man frowned. He ripped off his bowler and tore at his extremely red hair.
“Does no one believe in the fairies anymore?”
“Haven’t since I was a wee lad, and I certainly don’t believe in leprechauns!”
“Why not? Here, pinch me, I’m as real as you are!” the man said, holding out his arm.
Daniel gave him a vicious pinch, in hopes it would drive the strange creature away.
“Me name is Fergus,” the man said with barely a flinch.
“Go away, you bother me!”
“Don’t you want to try your luck at me pot of gold? All you have to do is catch me!”
“Why on earth would I want to do that? It’s all a lot of horse pucky! If I don’t believe in you, then I most certainly don’t believe in your pot or its gold!”
Fergus sighed gustily.
“Today’s generation has no imagination it seems. I guess I’ll have to find someone else to chase me and trap me until I’m forced to give them me gold.”
“I guess you will, little man!” Daniel said.
As the leprechaun turned to leave, Daniel grabbed his swallow-tailed coat tail and held on.
“You tricked me, turn me loose!”
“Not until I get your gold. Conjure it here right now!” Daniel said.
Fergus ranted and raved, pulling and tugging to try free himself from the iron grip.
“Do as I say,” Daniel demanded, only to find that the leprechaun had disappeared, leaving his coat behind. Laughter echoed then faded. Daniel tossed the coat away.
