Thinking you’re the only one hurting, is a hard pill to swallow..

Am I the only one that’s hurting?
Or do you just hide it better than I do?

Because I feel it in everything —
in the silence after your name,
in the way my phone lights up
and it’s never you.

Am I the only one replaying
the good parts like they’re proof
we were real?

The only one who lays awake
arguing with memories,
trying to make them make sense?

Tell me —
does your chest ever ache out of nowhere?
Does a song ever hit too hard?
Do you ever miss me
the way I miss you?

Or am I the only one
still standing in the wreckage
holding pieces
you already let go of?
