it's about a person whom i lost while i was young hope u guys enjoy reading it

It's not fall without you..
the fall was not how it used to be
it was dawn, wrapped in fog
the phone rang like a trapped beetle in a jar
I answered,
and the silence afterward
sounded like breaking glass.

i was young, clear as untouched glass
still un-poisoned by the world
until something fragile inside me snapped
you were gone, like a withered flower
just as green turned to brown
so did your laugh

the fall was not how it used to be
I remember your visits,
the walk home from school,
how the wind felt kinder
when you were there.
You left
before the seasons were ready
the fall was not how it used to be

I hope the stars
tell you how I’ve grown
I kept my small victories
for a conversation
we could never have
yet, the leaves keep falling.
I keep remembering you
It's not fall without you..
