A raw look at the internal wars fought during the quiet, heavy hours of 2:30 a.m. |
| Trapped at 2:30 a.m. It’s 2:30 in the morning and I’m lying here trapped in my own head, thoughts circling like vultures picking apart everything I ever said. The silence is too loud tonight, it echoes things I try to ignore, every “what if” and “why me” pounding like fists on a locked door. My chest feels heavy with memories that won’t loosen their grip, like I’m drowning in moments I never meant to let slip. I replay conversations that ended wrong, hear words I wish I could take back, feel the weight of every goodbye that left my world cracked. And it’s crazy how the night does this— how it pulls the truth into view, no distractions, no pretending, just me… and everything I never worked through. I wonder if anyone else is awake fighting battles they never show, smiling in daylight like they’re okay while breaking where no one can go. I try to close my eyes, escape it, but my mind won’t let me rest, it keeps dragging up every hurt I buried deep in my chest. So I lay here… wide awake, counting scars instead of sleep, hoping the morning brings some peace from the thoughts that cut too deep. But right now it’s 2:30 in the morning… and I’m still stuck inside my head, fighting wars no one can see— in a bed that feels like lead. |
