Were he to climb beyond the vale
Far across the village still
A pair of shoes upon the trail
That he might tread the steepest hill
Whence starry night before him lie
The Milky Way forgot to sleep
Almond blossoms in the sky
Floral breath in valley deep
The harvest moon lay in wait
As dreams dissolve with velvet night
For crimson glow to take the bait
And bathe sunflowers in the light
