A heart-wrenching reflection on pain, love, and resilience |
| Will our wounds ever heal, or will people keep reopening them? Should we drink the poison or live the life that's left? If we lost to strangers, it wouldn't hurt, but losing to loved ones is unbearable It's different when sorrow comes knocking or joy visits - we've gotten used to bearing it Perhaps, Murshid, even sorrows became aware of our endurance Whether we've befriended pain or chased away happiness, only you know, my God You've applied a balm to my heart's wounds, only you recognize it I've made friends with the winds, perhaps filling my life with sorrows Rekindle my desire to live, God, help me forget this cruel world We've forgotten life's colors, will we rediscover them? Give me the longing to live again If I lose my way, guide me to my destination After my death, will you make me face myself? |
