This poem beautifully captures the bittersweet emotions evoked by rain. |
| When the rain comes It leaves us colorless We can't see the sun Nor is the night pleasant Raindrops come from the sky Drenching us with grandeur We wouldn't sleep at night We'd get lost in the raindrops When our roof would get wet The rain would steal our peace We'd cry tears But we'd be happy in God's will We asked God "Will you bring a tsunami with the rain? Will you wash away people's homes with this tsunami? Will I be able to feel the pain of those innocent people? If the world ends, will you still make it rain?" (Part-1) (Part-2):- The rain came, the rain came It brought something good It brought greenery to the trees, filling them completely God must not have seen this sight That's why He searched and made the earth happy again I asked God, why do people say God is bad? He gives life to the trees He makes rainbows in the rain I said to God, forgive me, my Lord Your ways, I couldn't understand Your ways, I couldn't understand. |
