The Silence You Built Oh, so now you’re looking? Now you’re worried? Where were you when the ground was getting buried? You love this "stone" version of me, don't even lie— It’s easier for you when I don’t have to cry. It’s quiet, right? No problems, no noise, Just another one of your broken-down toys. You think I "chose" to be this empty and cold? Like I sat down and did exactly what I was told? No. I just got tired of the way you look through me, Like I’m some ghost you don’t even want to see. So I shut the doors. I bolted them tight. I turned off every single flickering light. And you have the nerve to ask where I went? After every bit of me was already spent? I’m right here. I’m the hollow, the "nothing," the "fine," I’m the one who stayed silent and stayed in the line. But don’t act like you care about the "crack" in the wall, Because you’re the one who let the hammer fall. You want me to "wake up"? To "feel" and to "be"? That’s funny, coming from you, honestly. Because if I actually started to bleed or to scream, You’d be the first one to leave the whole scene. So stay on your side. Stay "worried" and "sad." Being a statue is the only peace I ever had. |
