Muse fell into the shadows

Dreams Never Die
by Reagana

Muse in shadowed darkened room
Wrapped in cobwebs held so tight
Sunlight can't disperse the gloom
Where fragile dreams seek the light

Miasma swirls oily black
Vaporous poison swallows whole
Waning thoughts come crawling back
Emptiness enshrouds my soul

Burst this barrier at last
Break the chains that can't extol
Slither from the rigid past
This blank page I can control

Vivid imagery through ink
Firestorm of words colliding
This and that begin to sync
My muse crawls out of hiding
