| Want to play basketball? I won't beat you. I'll just stand in the corner. You can dunk! I promise, I won't elbow and scratch too. I promise, I won't kick you in the junk. Ah, the pleasures of modesty and fun. I missed 9,000 shots. Did you know that? But I didn't miss nine-thousand-and-one. And at least I would get up off my back! The best part of b-ball is the crying. Just crying in gratitude's abundance. Look into my eyes. Did you start trying? You think you're in charge young child? I run this! I could probably play to eighty-nine. Did you see my wife? Isn't she just fine? |
