Penguin Character drabble

A short drabble featuring my half penguin character

Eva pulled back another brown feathery hair from her scalp with a sigh. She wasn't the best at hair stuff, evident by her front hair looking like she had lost a fight with a pillow.

The top of her head had that usual cowlick that refused to flatten, no matter how much gel she used.

Her internal judgment in front of the mirror is interrupted by the oven timer blaring.

Black Forest cupcakes, almost done.

Tendrils of steam escaped as she opened the oven door (of course with oven mitts) to reveal the perfect batch of Black Forest cupcakes, moist chocolate bases dotted with jewel-like cherries, topped with swirls of whipped cream that held their shape just right.
