A poem about losing my wings |
| I used to be a dreamer, a thinker of strange thoughts. Among the clouds they found me, dreaming in the white fluff. They seized me by the arm and dragged me down to earth. Dizzy and disoriented, I did not protest. They spoke in harsh voices, lest I forget. My wings grew weak from disuse and can no longer reach the skies. Now I am stranded on the ground, staring up at where I used to fly. |
