Pendulum poem for PPC

Just My Opinion on Form Poetry

Counting syllables is no fun--
too constraining. Undone
by forms and rhyme.
Not fine!
Concise:
too high a price.
My words can't simply flow,
Ideas have no place to grow.

Pendulums swing both to and fro:
ticking clock, don't you know.
Claustrophobic.
Brain kick.
Feel tied
in knots: I tried.
I must have room to roam
when I write myself a poem.

Pendulum:
The Pendulum is an eight-line poem invented by Etta J Murphy.
The syllabic structure is 8, 6, 4, 2, 2, 4, 6, 8
with a rhyme scheme of a a b b c c d d.
