This is a playful poem that I would put together for the Shadow and Light Contest. |
Don't ask for more, Doubt no more. Don't solve the riddle, play the fiddle. Don't ask why; It's okay to be shy. Don't cry, You're quite the guy. When you're cowering, The buds will be flowering. Don't be screaming, It's time to be teaming. Don't pout, don't even doubt, That's not what we're about. It's not what it seems, Believe in your dreams. Don't give any static, To the emptiness in the attic. It's time to get some alone time, Better to get started on some rhymes. Come on in, it's time to begin. The time is now, I'll tell you how. Begin again, it's never too late, Take a jar full of kindness, It's to consider a mindset for the attitude of forgiveness. It may take a while, Said the crocodile. I'll tell you in a jiffy, That's quite iffy. It's time for a laugh, Said the giraffe. This is a huge font, Is this what you want? It's quite on the level. You've got the drive to Make it come alive. Strive to do your best. This is the time to Make it playful. I invite you to stay, You are welcome here. 40 Lines |
