A chaotic encounter with a moose while trying to impress his crush!

Trevor had one goal that morning: impress his crush, Lila, by riding his brand‑new electric scooter across the school field like some kind of eco‑friendly knight. Unfortunately, Trevor had never successfully ridden anything with a wheel that moved faster than a shopping trolley.

He zoomed forward anyway, confidence high, balance low.

Halfway across the land behind the school, the scooter hit a suspiciously large bump. Trevor assumed it was a rock. It was not a rock.

It was a moose.

A full‑sized, extremely unimpressed moose, who had apparently chosen that exact moment to take a nap in the grass. The scooter bounced off its side like a rubber ball, sending Trevor flying in a majestic arc that would have earned a perfect ten from any Olympic judge with a sense of humour.

He landed face‑first in a patch of mud so deep it made a cartoon splat noise. The moose stood up slowly, turned, and stared at him with the expression of someone who had just been woken by the world’s least competent alarm clock.

Trevor tried to stand, slipped, and instead saluted the moose from the ground like this was all part of a diplomatic mission.

Lila, who had witnessed everything, jogged over. Trevor braced for humiliation.

Instead, she burst out laughing.
“Only you,” she said, “could crash into a moose on a scooter.”

The moose snorted, as if agreeing.

Trevor decided that if he ever became famous, this was absolutely not the story he wanted told at his wedding.

But knowing his luck, it would be the first one people remembered.
