You lose a lot of wonder and imagination when you stay in the same spot every day. |

Another tomorrow, walking down the street, passing the jacarandas, saying hi and goodbye. It makes me want to cry. Will my life always spiral this way, seeing a face I hate, seeing a face I'll see everyday? Knowing the life everyone leads, because I live the same way? Where has the wonder gone, my wonder, their wonder? I want to know where the woman in designer is heading, I want to know the story behind a man's favorite ring. Was it passed down to him? Did he find it in a vintage store? But all I see is the same faces everyday, knowing their projects will be put off for forever, wasting another evening on "one more game." I dream of brunch in a coffee shop, dinner on a rooftop, evenings meeting someone new. Weekend trips to the coast, summers in Hawaii, bungee-jumping in Colorado. One day, I'll live for my wonder, free and wild and able. But for now, I'll see the same faces, dreading just another tomorrow. |
