The World Cup Don't think soccer/football, sports, etc. Thinking outside the box.

A free spirit, I have oft
meandered the globe
to discover the new
or old or simply the unseen.
Once, I spent six months
on a journey spanning
Europe, working to keep myself fed
between 'helps' from my folks.
I scrubbed ancient stonewalls
in Germanic mountainside castles
and weeded in a vineyard in Italy.
Later, on another trip, I discovered
much about England and Scotland
and far more about myself.
Caribbean islands sent out a call
and I island hopped or sailed.
From St. Croix to Aruba, Curacao to Bonaire,
from Bermuda to Tobago I wandered
looking for adventure and finding me
in the process. I've road-tripped to all
but three states in the US
and lived in thirty-eight of them,
(including Alaska.)
In Hawai'i, specifically Maui,
I found a home away from home.
My 'World Cup' series of travels
that I dearly hope
shall continue until the end of my days.
