The Miracle of Green Grass Sprouts

God's special creation

God's mind and power and might are behind all things in the universe and everything. Reality is a conglomerate of wonders, miracles, and a special creation.

It is visible to me in Nature. When I walk with my dog, I spot green grass sprouts, small white and yellow flower buds with their heads upward to the sun and the light. I smell freshly cut grass, and I feel a little breeze on my skin. It’s all part of the miracle of Life, my life, God’s creation. And I am in awe.

Whenever I feel the wind, which is everywhere all the time, I am taken into the presence of the Holy Spirit, the Trinity. For me, that’s what winds are or is: the Holy Spirit. It is always present; it penetrates everything; it is always there, 24/7.

I am a science-oriented mind, but I believe that God created science to give us a language to understand His creation even better at certain times. And science is not the only answer as well; there are things like art, music, spirituality, miracles, and a lot more that strengthen people’s belief in the creation of God.

I am the eldest daughter of a Western Dutch Man and an Asian Indonesian Woman, so a mix of Western and Eastern influences regarding God, spirituality, and, for instance, the soul of inanimate objects.

I am open to the soul of trees and clouds and other beings that are considered non-animated in Western society. It always gives me multilayered perspectives on ordinary subjects. And God is everywhere.

I am a miracle, like everybody else. And Life itself is a miracle.

2024 NOVEMBER PROMPT: Are you a miracle or an accident?
Is there a mind behind all things, or do things just happen at random, or as a result of a long process of random events now solidified in natural laws? Has science overthrown the notion of special creation with its theories of abiogenesis and evolution? Do we live in a universe where catastrophic rapid change and supernatural interventions occur, or are naturalism and uniformitarianism safer assumptions on which to base an evidential view of reality? How does your answer to this question contribute to the way that you approach life, the universe, and everything?
