Muhammad or Jesus?

I don’t know about which one is ‘better’, since I know too little about Muhammad, and I only know what I learned in my youth about Christ, and as a foundation of my worldview based on Christianity. So, I will make it simple.

I choose Jesus, the Son of the Christian God and Man, anytime above Muhammad, a prophet of Islam. I’d rather spend eternity with Jesus, who is kind, loving, peaceful, and wise. I am afraid of Muhammad and Islam, to be honest.

I have read a few (not many) verses of the Qur‘an at random, just to get a gist of it, but I wasn’t impressed; I didn’t like it, because there was a lot of violence in it, as I recall. Only know of the Qur‘an, being misused by terrorist organizations on the Internet, with videos of propaganda and beheading of infidels. This dark side of Islam is very frightening, and I don’t want to have anything to do with it. I am aware that it’s a small portion of Islam, that the majority of Muslims are peaceful and law-abiding citizens, but it still frightens me. I think there is a small portion of Islam that is incompatible with Western democratic values.

It also depends on the country. I am tied with Indonesia, since my late mother and the family were born there. The biggest Islamic country in the world. Relatively peaceful, only in some parts (Sumatra), where they would like to practice the Sharia. I think the Sharia is not good for our lives. Because of: Gender inequality, Corporal punishments, Lack of religious freedom, and Incompatibility with Secular Democracy, to name a few things.

Reading my answer so far, I would say Jesus is better for the world and for me.

2025 JANUARY PROMPT Muhammad or Jesus? Why?
The majority of the world’s population believes in one or the other, and that percentage is growing faster than the global population. Who is better and why? Who would you rather spend eternity with? If you are a Hindu or an atheist/ AN Other, can you explain why your perspective is not competing with Islam and Christianity?
