Gazing, through a treeless sky, I stare at the moon. Trying to breathe in the light, of each star. With the night, whispering songs of solitude. Singling out such folly, cast by every silhouette, behind sad, shear covers. Watching as drifts of missed opportunities, close in around me. Freezing me in place, afraid to step, afraid I’d fall. There I stood, transfixed, with roots firmly planted in yesterday. My dreams, without meaning exfoliate, carried into the night. Becoming shadows. Behind sad, shear covers…. |
