Before the Pieces Fit

Where everything falls apart, the life that was always waiting for you quietly begins.

Life rarely arrives the way we imagine.
It enters like weather,
lifting roofs from familiar houses,
scattering carefully folded plans
across roads we never meant to walk.

There is a quiet violence
in watching certainty dissolve.
Doors close without apology,
voices become echoes,
and mirrors begin reflecting
someone you barely recognize.

You call it failure,
because no kinder word
has yet revealed itself.

But broken things
have a peculiar way of making room.
The walls that collapse
let light reach forgotten corners.
The maps that burn
force your eyes toward the horizon
instead of the paper.

Slowly,
without applause,
you begin collecting yourself—
not the person you were,
but the one hidden beneath
expectation, fear,
and borrowed dreams.

One scar becomes wisdom.
One goodbye becomes freedom.
One impossible morning
becomes the first day
you no longer measure life
by what was lost.

Then, almost unnoticed,
everything begins to fit.

Not because the world
has finally become gentle,
but because you have learned
that storms are not detours.
They are the craftsmen
who carve away
everything that cannot survive
the life waiting beyond them.

And one day,
standing among the ruins
you once begged heaven to spare,
you will smile
with the quiet certainty
of someone who finally understands:

Nothing truly fell apart.

It was only making space
for a life that could never have existed
while the old one
was still standing.
