The Belt of Hippolyta

Inspired by the 9th labor of Hercules

The king's daughter had a fashion craving.
This labor was clear in the making.
Hippolyta's Belt, a gift from Ares,
was what she wanted with out cares.
A distant island of Amazon women,
his destination was there by given.
At first things with the women went quite well,
until Hera some lies did tell.
Then things went south,
because of Hera's mouth,
and suspicions flew around.
Worries did abound.
Hippolyta went to speak to him,
he mistook it for an attacking whim.
He finished her and took the belt.
In the end no guilt he felt.
He delivered the belt to the king.
But hated what he had to do to get the thing.
