Trip to Paraguay

Rated: E · Poetry · Travel · #2361826

During the summer of 1984, between terms of university, I spent five weeks "Down South."

Blest Paraguay took me first time abroad
to see the world from others' point of view.
A smoky bus caused me to kiss the sod
at safe return to that home truly new.

The Queso Provechoso up in flames,
with Chololo' a peaceful waterfalls,
Nanduti', the lace, So glad I came.
Guarani' the culture still it calls.

The good exchange of mind and heart remains.
Experience for life my spirit gained.
