A poem in trochaic meter (described below poem) about Canadian forest fires in July 2026. |
Sun comes peeking through the darkness brought upon the morning daylight. Smoky gray from distant fires burning through the Northern forests. Acrid air flows through the nostrils, filling lungs with toxic evil. Common sense says just stay inside. Good excuse to skip the yard work. Trochaic meter: A syllable pattern with a stressed syllable followed by an unstressed syllable, as in HAP-py/ PO-et/ WRIT-ing/ VI-brant/ VI-sions. |
