Daaveed wants something more. The universe answers 200-word flash

The Solution for the Discontented

Daaveed shouted to the cosmic void from the asteroid he lived on.

“I don’t like it here!”

A spacecraft appeared and landed. Two blue aliens disembarked by energy ramp and approached him.

“We can solve that problem for you,” said the one on the left.

“Yes, we know just the place. Take our ship and land here.”

He showed him a map with a red dot marking a blue planet.

“The ship knows the way after you input the data.”

Daaveed sputtered and mumbled. The aliens were not moved. They set him on the energy ramp and waved goodbye.
Just as he settled into the flight chair and buckled himself in, the ship took off. He got so relaxed, he fell fast asleep.

“Am I there already?” he asked drowsily when a gently thump woke him.

The ship’s door slid open and the energy ramp deployed. Daaveed went down the ramp and ended up in water up to his neck. It took some scrambling and swimming to get to solid ground.

“This is a dampish place!”

That didn’t last long. He was soon climbing mountains and sweating in the sun. After days of walking uphill and down, Daaveed ended up knee-deep in snow. He began to shiver violently. Turning to retrace his steps didn’t help as there was a raging blizzard behind him.

“Take me back home to my cozy asteroid! This place, this Earth, this little blue marble, isn’t for me.”

As if attuned to him, the ship came and got him and Daaveed eagerly got back into it and headed home. Once there, he reset the ship’s coordinates and disembarked. As he watched it leave he vowed never to wish into the Universe again.

“Karma can be worse than reality,” he told himself.
