How much different life would seem

This world would be so different
through a child’s eyes --
No more hurt or pain,

No war or telling lies.

Skies would just be blue,

grass would just be green,

all the dreams we dream about
would be just as they seem.

Through a child’s eyes.
tears would never pass.
Friendships would be simple

and always built to last.

You wouldn’t hear of hunger,
no one would go without,
some words would never pass your lips
like hate, or cry, or doubt.

Grandpas, Grandmas, Moms and Dads
would always live forever.
You wouldn’t need a band-aid,
things would just get better.

Through a child’s eyes,
a prayer you’d never hear, is
”Mommy, please don’t hit me,
Daddy, please don’t touch me there.”

There’d be no such thing as anger,
rainbows would never leave the sky,

you could always trust a stranger,
you’d know every passerby.

If the world was seen

through the eyes of a child,
marriages wouldn’t fall apart.
They’d last a long, long while.

You’d never have to say, “Goodbye.”
Moms or Dads would never leave.

“I love you” would be permanent,

It’d mean eternity.

Of all the things you couldn’t do,
Of all the things you couldn’t say,
Gods name in school

Would be ok.

So when life starts to bother me,
I’ll try to realize,
How much different life would seem
Through a child’s eyes.
