Write about a moment when you felt very happy. |
The prompt is for a moment when I felt 'very happy.' Been thinking about that. Just one time? But ... but ... There are so many. I simply can't choose just one. Defining 'very happy' in my mind, my soul. Very happy with me? Or very happy in general? Either way. 'Very' is one of those words: Super happy? Exceedingly happy? Extraordinarily happy? Happy versus joy? Happy versus ecstatic? Happy versus exuberant? Happy versus content? Sigh. See? That's my dilemma. I tend to be happy the majority of the time-- From when I wake up in the morning until I kiss my husband goodnight. Experiencing joy is easier--every time I see my kids, when my hubby brings me wildflowers plucked from alongside the trail, when he tells me he loves me. Being ecstatic is another easy one-- when I finish a book, when I publish a book, when someone tells me in detail why they loved my book. Being exuberant is when my feet are on the ground in Maui and yet my soul sings high. Being content is a constant--I have love, a roof, enough to eat and plenty of books to read. Sigh. Very happy with me is a state I've grown into of late. Very happy in general? Yes. I simply am. How long is a moment? How long is a memory? |
